Sales Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Target Setting and Achievement
- Sales Target Setting: Set sales targets based on the company's overall strategies and market demand, break them down to team members, and ensure their achievability.
- Sales Plan Execution: Develop detailed sales plan, including sales strategies, timelines and resource allocation, to ensure the achievement of sales targets.
- Performance Evaluation and Feedback: Regularly evaluate sales performance, analyze sales data, identify issues and propose improvement plans.
2. Market Analysis and Competitor Research
- Market Research: Deeply gain the understanding of consumer demand, industry trends, and competition structures in the target market, analyzing market capacity and growth.
- Competitor Analysis: Study competitors' sales strategies, product positioning and market share, analyzing the competitive advantages of our own products.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Understand the real needs and pain points of customers adjusting sales strategies to meet customer demands.
3. Customer Relationship Management and Maintenance
- Customer Development: Develop new customers and establish a potential customer database.
- Customer Maintenance: Maintain close contact with existing customers, understand their needs providing high-quality pre-sales and after-sales services and enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Customer Complaint Handling: Respond promptly and resolve customer complaints to prevent customer churn and maintain the company’s brand image.
4. Sales Channel Management
- Distributor/Dealer Management: Maintain good relationships with distributors, dealers and other partners ensuring the stability and efficiency of the sales channels.
- Channel Optimization: Optimize the sales channel layout according to market changes and sales data, expanding coverage and enhancing market penetration.
- Channel Support: Provide necessary training, marketing & technical support to distributors /dealer to improve their sales capabilities.
5. Sales Strategies and Promotions
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop targeted sales strategies based on market demand and competition, such as price discounts and limited-time promotions.
- Promotion Planning: Organize and implement promotions, such as car shows, test-drive events and customer appreciation meetings to attract potential customers and enhance sales conversion rates.
- Brand Promotion: Increase brand awareness and reputation through sales activities, strengthening customer recognition of the brand.
6. Order Management and Delivery Support
- Order Processing: Manage customer orders to ensure order information is accurate, tracking order status and avoiding delays.
- Delivery Support: Collaborate with supply chain, logistic and production departments to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- Customer Confirmation: Follow up customer satisfaction with the product to ensure a positive customer experience after delivery.
7. Data Analysis and Sales Forecasting
- Sales Data Analysis: Regularly analyze sales data to understand sales trends, product performance and regional sales differences, assessing the effectiveness of sales strategies.
- Sales Forecasting: Use historical sales data and market trends to forecast future sales and provide support for inventory management and production planning.
- Sales Reporting: Regularly report sales performance to management providing market feedback and improvement suggestions.
8. Pricing Strategy and Profit Optimization
- Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies based on market demand, costs and competition to ensure competitiveness while meeting profit objectives.
- Profit Analysis: Analyze sales data and cost, optimize pricing strategies and sales structures and improve overall sales profit margins.
9. Compliance and Risk Management
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure sales activities comply with local market laws, regulations and industry standards, preventing risks due to compliance issues.
- Risk Control: Identify potential risks in the sales process (such as customer defaults, market fluctuations, etc.), develop response strategies and reduce risk impacts.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) above
- Minimum 3 years of Automotive industry experiences at a Medium level with Dealer experiences ESSENTIAL
- Familiarity with motor industry’s rules and regulations
- Result driven and customer focused
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Local Travel within SA will be required
