Job Description: Regional Sales Engineer

This position is a fully remote / field-based opening. You need to live in the assigned area of Western Cape.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will lead strategic sales targeting large industrial and municipal accounts within your assigned geographic territory. This highly autonomous role requires strong business planning intuition and the ability to implement strategic sales plans. Your role is vital for ensuring high customer satisfaction and presenting Hach solutions effectively. You will manage the entire Hach product portfolio, including instrumentation, reagents, integrated solutions, and services.

Location & Territory:

This field-based position requires minimal office reporting. The territory covers the Western Cape, preferably with your residence in the Cape Town region.

Typical Daily Activities:
  1. Develop sales territory and account plans to meet targets, utilizing SFDC reporting and funnel health reviews.
  2. Prepare and present monthly forecasts, managing opportunities accurately.
  3. Visit at least 10 clients weekly to develop strategies, solve problems, and foster industry contacts.
  4. Understand the Hach portfolio and applications, including quoting and sales activities across various sectors.
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in analytical instrumentation sales.
  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work across cultures and teams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays (up to 23 nights/month).
  • Own vehicle with a valid Code B license.
