As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will lead strategic sales targeting large industrial and municipal accounts with multiple influencers in your assigned geographic territory. This highly autonomous role requires strong business acumen, planning skills, and the ability to implement strategic sales plans. Your role is essential for high customer satisfaction and ensuring Hach’s solutions are effectively presented to our customers. You will be responsible for the entire Hach product portfolio, including instrumentation, reagents, integrated solutions, and services.
This position is field-based, with minimal office reporting for administrative tasks.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Developing sales territory and account plans to achieve targets, utilizing SFDC, and reporting results and funnel health during weekly reviews with your manager. Using Hach tools and systems to drive growth.
Preparing and presenting monthly forecasts by managing opportunities accurately.
Visiting at least 10 clients per week to implement strategies, solve customer problems, and develop a network within the water management community.
Understanding the Hach portfolio and application areas, including quoting, follow-up, and sales activities. Must be adaptable and knowledgeable across many applications (WWTW, DW, Power, Oil & Gas, F&B).
The essential requirements of the job include:
At least 5 years of experience, preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry as a sales associate.
Preferred degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar fields.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work across cultures, countries, locations, and business teams.
Willingness and flexibility to travel long distances and lodge away from home (2-3 nights a month when required).
Own vehicle with a valid Code B license.
