Job description

We're seeking a Regional Reimbursement Nurse to add to our growing team in North East Texas!

This position will cover long-term care facilities in and around the Sulphur Springs, Paris, and Mount Pleasant areas.

Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency with regard to attendance are extremely important to this job.

The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperate, politely work and deal with others, and effectively multi-task in a stressful environment are also essential functions of this job.

Responsibilities :

  1. Support Facility Staff : Schedules residents for appropriate admission, annual, quarterly, Medicare assessment or change-of-condition assessments, overseeing communication to nursing and other departments.
  2. Assures compliance with Federal and State regulations regarding completion / coordination of the comprehensive assessment (MDS).
  3. Monitors MDS and care plan documentation on all residents, assuring that complete, orderly, chronological, and current documentation is in file.
  4. Maintains proficiency in software.
  5. Coordinate and attend regular Medicaid meetings to discuss current residents, pending residents, and recipients.
  6. Coordinate and attend all ITTM meetings to gather information, communicate changes, and maintain/update clinical records including the Care plan.
  7. Performs care plan updates as needed.
  8. Provide DON, Administrator, and pertinent staff with the Quality Indicators Report.
  9. Perform transmissions of the MDS on a timely basis.
  10. Remain current with industry changes through attendance at workshops and conferences.
  11. Perform Ancillary management, collection, and reporting to corporate billing personnel.

Requirements :

  • Licensed Nurse in good standing.
  • Geriatric nursing background.
  • Restorative care philosophy, excellent professional skills (assessment and hands-on), and good communication and organization skills.
  • Working knowledge of nursing home regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
