A leading company in the construction industry seeks a Regional Product Manager in Johannesburg. This role involves managing product lines, developing marketing strategies, and supporting sales teams to ensure market leadership. The Regional Product Manager is a vital part of the Product Leadership (PLS) team within the META (Middle East, Turkey & Africa) region.
You will serve as an important interface between local market organizations and our headquarters' Corporate Business Units.
The role's purpose is to contribute to profitable business growth by managing existing and new products, services, and software through activities such as product line extensions, pruning, promotional activities, and developing training concepts for sales teams.
A key aspect of the role is to develop impactful product launch concepts to differentiate our offerings and enhance customer applications.
These activities support our organizational strategy to create sustainable value through leadership and differentiation.
We expect the person in this role to have the potential and desire to progress to higher management levels, potentially including international opportunities to broaden experience.
Role Responsibilities :
As a Regional Product Manager, you will manage our measuring portfolio to achieve product and market leadership.
Your key responsibilities include building and supporting strategies around competitive product positioning and developing marketing content for regional programs.
You will define and drive actions to develop market share, build master marketing plans to identify business opportunities, and support profitable growth within our service portfolio while expanding the customer platform.
You will evaluate market environments to determine potential, key applications, and customer needs.
Additionally, you will support sales teams in achieving business results, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and contribute to the global solution community by sharing best practices and scaling successes.
This role involves close collaboration with global teams to coordinate product launches and pursue market leadership and revenue goals.
With an entrepreneurial mindset, you will challenge the status quo, take calculated risks to foster innovation, and proactively monitor external trends to ensure agility and value creation.
What You Need Is :
Bachelor's degree in a related field; an MBA or engineering background is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a consultancy or construction-related role.
Strong understanding of marketing management, including data analysis, pricing, and channel management.
Experience working with large sales teams and multi-channel B2B environments.
Proven ability to act as a strategic business partner and influence stakeholders across a matrix organization.
Experience in developing client-focused, differentiated solutions.
Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
Effective communication skills, capable of delivering clear presentations and simplifying messages.
Result-oriented and a top performer who consistently exceeds goals.
