Job description

Role Purpose

Regional Manager is ultimately responsible for effectively managing the company's delivery operations in a specific geographic region and aligning their regional outputs and performance targets with the business overall objectives. The role takes key accountability to engage with the clients at a specific level to resolve operational challenges and planning. Furthermore, ensuring that key strategic initiatives are developed and implemented which will drive efficiencies and maintain or enhance the business’ competitive advantage in the market.

Role Description

  • Accountable for regional performance outputs, analysis, and reports; ensuring alignment with the overarching business goals and performance metrics as well as the customers’ key performance metrics and service level expectations.
  • Manage the staffing models for different delivery verticals and ensure that contractor roles and responsibilities are clearly articulated and understood & share the expected behaviours to achieve planned regional objectives and targets and drive an engaging and high-performance culture.
  • Propose and provide inputs on policies and procedures. Implement & ensure regional compliance with practices, policies, processes, systems and tools.
  • Responsible for branding reputation and compliance regionally & asset management per delivery vertical.
  • Encourage & maintain effective, clear and transparent communication. Curate the communication content and method of delivery as per broader communication framework.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders with a specific focus on client relationships e.g., head of operations manager (internal and client), regional managers (internal and client), vendors and partners(external) for the purposes of service improvement, customer service or collaboration for business improvement
  • Analyse regional performance and identify opportunities for consolidation and optimisation. Propose and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity, including training and development programs, process improvements and solutions.
  • Build a motivated and engaged team, underpinned by company values and behaviours to ensure a high level of performance outputs.
  • Maintain a trusted leadership and advisory role to the executive committee by offering input and advice on best risk practices and proactively informing the business of potential risks.
  • Seek opportunities to drive continuous improvement of the region and overall operation.
  • Create and submit regional budgets in accordance with business plans and goals for approval.
  • Ensure costs are actively tracked and variances managed.
  • Responsible for asset and resource (tech, people and facilities) planning, allocation and management in accordance with business policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum B. Com in Business related field or similar (essential)
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years of experience in management role within an operations environment essential of which 3 must be at a middle management level.
  • Previous experience in logistics industry preferred.
  • Strong command of advanced MS office techniques and presentation skills.
