Enhance the lives of older Australians by joining the Life Without Barriers team. Guided by each client's individual needs and interests, our personalised in-home Aged Care services focus on empowering each person to maintain their home comforts, health, and connections within their community.

About the role

This position provides leadership to a growing team, focusing on client outcomes, quality standards, growth, and performance of our in-home/community aged care services across NSW. It suits someone with the drive and commitment to elevate our client-focused aged care programs.

The successful candidate will lead and expand our newly established aged care services in Newcastle and contribute to the growth of aged care across other areas of NSW.

This role is ideal for an experienced community services leader with strong financial understanding, commercial acumen, and relationship-building skills. It is a permanent full-time position based in Newcastle with hybrid work arrangements.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop annual growth and marketing plans for NSW aged care, focusing on acquiring new clients and becoming an employer of choice
  • Network and develop strategies to identify sustainable growth opportunities
  • Provide evidence-based insights to inform a consistent national marketing strategy
  • Implement local business development strategies to promote positive and sustainable growth
  • Ensure long-term funding sustainability through innovation, excellent service delivery, effective promotion, and strategic relationships
  • Support, coach, motivate, and develop team members
  • Provide coaching and advice on complex client needs, service delivery issues, and critical incidents
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams
  • Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and partners
Skills & experience
  • Degree in Human Services or a related discipline
  • Experience in business development within Community Services, Health, or similar sectors
  • Understanding of Aged Care Reforms
  • Proven ability to drive growth and performance regionally
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Commitment to the care and protection of service users
  • Experience in leading positive change within teams
  • Ability to manage services and programs within a budget
  • Capability to support organisation-wide initiatives aligned with Life Without Barriers' Purpose and Values
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration skills, including with peers, employees, external organisations, funding bodies, and government agencies

Successful candidates will need to pass probity checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check.
