Job description
We require the services of a Regional Liaison and Partners Services Manager. As a leader, this position is focused on managing the critical response services within the operational services. It is also incumbent on the individual to develop and maintain partnerships and liaise with the provincial recovery structures in order to improve the recovery rate by gathering crime intelligence, which will support the company in meeting its strategic objectives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Investigations and Compliance
Ensure that activated vehicles are recovered.
Ensure that the provincial action plan addresses partnership and liaison and the recovery rate.
Meet compliance expectations on time.
Standardise training across the province aligned to the National Head Office vision.
Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to within the province.
Deliver statistical reports supported by visual and/or graphical presentation before the last working day of the month.
Accurate reporting on provincial vehicle crime trends to stakeholders.
Timeous implementation of action plans and procedures.
Accurate reporting on vehicle crime prevention, combating, and investigation methods.
Suggest action plans to stakeholders, both private and public, on the above.
Deliver monthly and quarterly visit schedules.
Deliver reports on vehicle crime trends and intelligence gathered to all stakeholders.
Effective management of queries and accounts; and delivery of monthly report to manager.
Ad hoc projects.
Effective communications and coordination of vehicle-related projects within the province.
Management of staff.
Performance discussions on time and score delivered.
Ensure development of subordinates.
Actual versus budget.
Minimum Requirements - Qualifications and Experience Required:
National Diploma: Criminal Justice, Policing, or Criminology related at NQF level 6.
Vehicle tracking systems, processes, and procedures.
3 – 5 years relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience/above average knowledge in the South African Police Services, SANDF, Other Law Enforcement Agencies, or Private Security Industry.
Above average understanding of the Criminal Procedure Act.
Above average understanding of the Firearms Control Act.
Above average understanding of Vehicle Related Crime in South Africa.
Clear Criminal Record - Undergoing polygraph screening annually - Pre & Post employment.
Pre & Post employment – Firearm, Technical, Tactical & Defensive Driving assessments and training.
Valid Firearm Competency Certificate.
Valid Code EB - Driver’s Licence.
Valid South African Identity Document or Card.
Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as per an approved shift roster including weekends and public holidays.
Must be willing to be deployed nationally with reasonable prior notification and consultation.
Perform planned & unplanned standby duties and special operations as, and when, required.
Must be willing to be deployed in an environment that can be considered dangerous & hostile whilst working in the confines of a set SOP.
