Job summary

Merand Corbett & Associates in Cape Town is seeking an Operations Executive to lead a 25-restaurant multi-unit portfolio, with a strong focus on P&L, forecasting and EBITDA performance. You will drive regional leadership across a dispersed operation, coach leaders, and build high-performance teams in a 800-strong workforce.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of senior multi-unit operations leadership.
• BCom or similar degree preferred.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• P&L and financial management - forecasting, EBITDA, variance management, sales and profitability.
• Multi-unit operational excellence - ensuring consistent execution across approximately 25 QS restaurants.
• Leadership and talent development - coaching and developing with a strong focus on succession and future leadership capability.
• People and culture - leading a workforce of approximately 800 employees and creating accountability, resilience and high-performance teams.
• Compliance and standards - labour, COGS, health & safety, audits and operational compliance.
• Strategic growth - identifying opportunities to improve performance and supporting the broader growth strategy of the business.
• Regional leadership - extensive travel across the assigned territories, requiring someone comfortable managing a geographically dispersed operation.

Job description

Key areas of responsibility will include:

The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of senior multi-unit operations leadership, although experience does not necessarily have to be within QSR. A BCom or similar degree is preferred, together with strong commercial and financial acumen and a demonstrated ability to lead a large workforce.
