PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The main objective of the Regional Key Account Manager is to manage Key Account Customers in order to achieve designated sales targets through the implementation of appropriate and unique strategies for these key accounts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients.
2. Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
3. Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
4. Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
5. Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
6. Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
7. Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
8. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
9. Apply the key elements of channel, category management in terms of continuously enhancing supply and retailer and manufacturing relationships, meeting consumer needs smarter and faster in such a manner that it would maximize financial returns.
10. Develop and implement the most effective consumer touch points and the resulting cost-efficient communication mediums for the brand to influence its consumers (ATL, POS, ROI, Sponsorships, Events, brand home).
11. Manage Customer P&L and grow account profitability.
12. Grow market share.
13. Serve as the single point of contact to coordinate interaction between all functional areas within Heineken Beverages and their counterparts within the Group Account.
14. Analyse and interpret business information including legal parameters and governance requirements.
15. Follow Heineken Beverage’s policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Relevant tertiary qualification i.e. National Diploma/Degree is needed for the role.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

1. Minimum of 5 years market experience in Key Account, Business Management, Revenue Management, Channel Management and/or Financial Management; within a FMCG company would be a preference.
2. Sound knowledge of Group Account/Key Account practices and procedures.
3. Successful track record in relationship management.
4. Proven track record with sizable portfolio.
5. Above average business acumen, commercial accounting and profitability management skills.
6. Competent in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) will be advantageous.
