Qualifications

Job description

The Regional HR Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire human resource function for the region. The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation and compliance, industrial relations, and dispute resolution. The position will also serve as an advisor to Managers and Employees on all employee-related matters and will partner with relevant Regional Managers to drive performance, sound employee relations, and employee engagement within the region. Additionally, the Regional HR Manager will play a key role in fostering and driving a positive work culture aligned with the company values and behaviors. The position reports to the Group HR Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Honours Degree (NQF 7) in Human Resources Management or Industrial / Organisational Psychology;
  • Minimum five (5) years of human resources experience advising/consulting in a medium to large company;
  • Expert knowledge of South African Employment Laws and Dispute Resolution at CCMA level (Conciliation, Arbitrations);
  • Registered with SABPP or HPCSA as a Human Resources Professional or Industrial Psychologist (highly favorable but not mandatory);
  • Proven experience in Recruitment, Performance Management, HR Administration, Disciplinary Hearings, dispute resolution, and litigation at CCMA / Bargaining Council;
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour laws, labour regulations, and the Main Collective Agreement for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong conflict management skills;
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Detail-oriented;
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle required;
  • Oversee and manage the entire HR and IR function for the region in line with Company and HR strategy;
  • Drive performance management initiatives;
  • Act as a custodian of the desired company culture, promoting it through HR functions and company values;
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Management and Employees on HR and people-related matters;
  • Build and maintain healthy, constructive relationships;
  • Manage recruitment projects;
  • Ensure health and safety compliance;
  • Oversee onboarding and induction processes;
  • Maintain accurate HR record-keeping;
  • Handle CCMA dispute resolutions, conciliations, and arbitrations.
