Job summary

CHEP, a Brambles company, seeks an HSE Systems & Assurance Lead to transform how health, safety and environmental risk is managed across AMETA. The role influences governance, frameworks and assurance strategies for thousands of staff across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and beyond.

We’re looking for a pragmatic leader who can design scalable management systems, embed them in operations, and partner with senior leaders to improve system health and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, simplifying or transforming management systems, governance frameworks, or assurance programs.
• Ability to build capability and embed sustainable ways of working beyond the status quo.
• Ability to assess whether systems and critical controls are genuinely effective, not just compliant.
• Strong business partnering with senior operational and Supply Chain leaders.
• Experience influencing across complex, multi-site or multinational organisations.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing evolution and simplification of the AMETA HSE Management System.
• Design and strengthen regional assurance frameworks, methodologies and governance processes.
• Develop assurance programs focusing on critical controls, risk effectiveness and system health.
• Build organisational capability in assurance, verification and governance practices.
• Partner with leaders to translate global standards into locally relevant solutions.
• Leverage data and trends to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
• Drive consistency across geographies while balancing local needs.
• Support long-term maturity of HSE systems, governance and capability.
