Job summary

Qualifications

Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver's License (Code 14) with PDP.
Minimum 4 years of verifiable HGV experience.
Proven safety record and adherence to hours-of-service regulations.
Knowledge of Bloemfontein and Free State road networks.
Physically fit for loading/unloading tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) for regional deliveries and collections, primarily within the Free State.
Conduct pre-departure and post-arrival vehicle inspections; report defects.
Safely load, secure, and unload goods; ensure handling procedures.
Plan and execute efficient routes; optimize travel time and fuel.
Maintain logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle status.
Adhere to traffic laws and company procedures.
Provide professional service to clients and warehouse staff.
Communicate with dispatch and management regarding progress and exceptions.
