Large, integrated, and well-established group in the agriculture sector is seeking an experienced, motivated, and driven Regional Financial Manager. The role is based in Paarl, Western Cape, serving the group's national interests.
The ideal candidate must be proactive, capable of working independently and in a team, with the ability to implement systems and process improvements. Operational experience within agriculture, citrus, processing, or production environments is highly beneficial. A formal tertiary qualification and professional accreditation are required, with ERP systems experience considered an advantage.
The role's purpose is to establish and maintain financial and management procedures, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support resource acquisition alongside the CFO and General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manage and review General Ledger setup and ensure accurate financial processing in Business Central (Navision).
- Prepare monthly management journals, depreciation, and recoveries.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Oversee debtors, creditors, and intercompany accounts, including reconciliation and collections/payments.
- Compile management accounts and reporting packs for stakeholders and financial institutions.
- Manage external audits and statutory financial statements.
- Prepare and submit VAT/SARS returns monthly.
- Plan cash flow, prepare budgets, and forecast financial performance.
- Analyze costs, identify efficiencies, and drive profitability.
- Establish internal controls to maintain financial security.
- Manage fixed asset register and verify assets.
- Improve inventory control procedures and controls.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
- Manage risks through insurance and loss recovery measures.
- Share knowledge across farming, packhouses, and cold storage to promote best practices and standardization.
- Maintain records in line with best practices.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, advising management accordingly.
- Conduct internal cost audits and analyses to enhance competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Completed SAICA, SAIPA, or CIMA articles.
- CA(SA), PA(SA), AGA(SA), or CIMA designation is highly advantageous.
- At least 3 years of relevant commercial experience.
- Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
- Experience in agriculture, farming, production, or citrus is beneficial.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functions.
- Experience with ERP accounting systems, particularly Navision or Business Central, is a plus.

Remuneration :
- R660,000 to R900,000 per annum, depending on experience.
