Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star? The successful incumbent will be responsible for driving vehicles to move goods from one point to another in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.

The driver is responsible for the vehicle allocated to him and also for the load, from the time the vehicle is loaded until the goods are offloaded at the destination and the vehicle returns to the depot.

The driver is responsible for all relevant documentation and for ensuring that the relevant signatures, where required, are obtained.

Ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures and strict adherence to internal controls.

All ad-hoc tasks as requested by Management are timeously and diligently completed.

The driver must drive in a courteous and professional manner with due respect to all road users.

The driver must bear in mind at all times that they are a direct reflection of Racing Distribution and Hollywoodbets.

A Bonus to have:

1. 3 years driving experience.
2. Geographical knowledge.
3. Driver's licence.

What You'll do for the Brand:

1. Achieve and sustain driver score targets as predefined.
2. Ensure possession and use of additional safety equipment as required.
3. Be fully responsible for the vehicle allocated to him, including any other equipment.
4. Ensure safety of the vehicle and report any problems immediately.
5. Conduct pre on-route and post-trip roadworthy inspections and report defects.
6. Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the vehicle.
7. Travel only on authorized routes in a safe, courteous, and cautious manner.
8. Ensure correct goods are loaded and delivered / collected.
9. Monitor loading and offloading of vehicles and report discrepancies.
10. Contact home depot if delayed for longer than 30 minutes.
11. Carry out any other duties as instructed by a Supervisor or Manager.
12. Complete all trips within scheduled times as instructed.
13. Complete incident forms and report accidents to SAPS within 24 hours.

People:

1. Complete advanced driver training and driver courtesy training.
2. Submit claims, sick leave, annual leave, and overtime in a timely manner.
3. Refrain from driving under the influence of drugs / alcohol.
4. Comply with health and safety regulations.
5. Report any suspicion of misconduct using the Hotline.
6. No transport of passengers is permitted unless approved.
7. No conducting of private courier services with the employer's vehicle.
8. Keep all goods confidential.
9. Complete medical examinations as required.
10. Always carry the following documents: Valid driver's licence, Valid PRDP, Valid passport documents where necessary.
