Our client is seeking a dynamic Regional Commercial Manager to take the lead in driving growth and operational excellence across Zambia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company making waves in its industry. You’ll play a critical role in shaping and executing sales strategies, expanding market share, and leading a high-performance regional team.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in a commercial / operational managerial role, ideally in the Automotive, Trucking Aftersales, Commodity Trading, Transport or Logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and retail market dynamics in Zambia and broader African markets is advantageous but not a prerequisite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Strong commercial acumen and decision-making ability under pressure
  • High levels of energy, initiative, and dedication
  • Strong planning, time management, and project coordination skills
  • Assertive, dynamic, and performance-oriented mindset
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive regional sales performance, revenue growth, and profitability
  • Lead and manage the regional sales and operations team, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Develop and implement effective sales and commercial strategies to grow the business
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand the company’s customer base
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular visits and engagement
  • Drive sales, aftersales, and customer support, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure efficient stock delivery and supply chain execution
  • Monitor and manage regional budgets, fixed/variable costs, and profitability metrics
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, internal regulations, and local labour laws
  • Identify and develop key talent to support succession planning across the region
  • Support and enforce company policies, recommending changes to improve profitability and productivity
  • Network effectively within the industry to uncover and implement strategic business opportunities
  • Travel locally and internationally as required to develop new markets and support strategic initiatives
  • Provide regular reports and insights to the Country General Manager and Group Managing Director
