Job summary

TydeCo is seeking a Regional CAAS Coordinator in South Africa to support the CAAS team with reporting, workflow management, and cross‑regional collaboration. The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and efficient data handling in a multi-client environment.

The position can be remote within Cape Town with office access, or based remotely in Gauteng with travel to the Cape Town office as needed. It is a full‑time role with standard hours and overlap with U.S. business hours.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a CAAS coordination or accounting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Office 365, QBO, Bill, Ramp, FloQast.
  • Experience coordinating with accounting teams is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication using AI tools for meeting minutes.
  • Analytical mindset to track and interpret accounting data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 1099 status tracker and support year-end reporting.
  • Provide regular updates to CAAS Managers.
  • Provide admin support to CAAS leadership.

Job description

We areseekinga highly motivated Regional CAAS Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. This individual plays a critical role in supporting the CAAS team by ensuring no task slips through the cracks and that managers receive timely, accurate data to drive client and team success.

The Regional CAAS Coordinator will be responsible for managing operational workflows, tracking key deadlines, and providing reporting to CAAS leadership. This role collaborates closely with internal accounting teams and administrative staff to maintain accuracy across systems, documentation, and client communications.

This position will report to a CAAS Team Manager. It follows an 8-hour workday, which in practice typically aligns with a schedule of approximately 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM SAST to provide meaningful overlap with U.S. business hours, while remaining flexible based on business needs. This position can be remote within Cape Town, with the ability to work from our TydeCo office as required. Alternatively, it can be based remotely in the Gauteng province, with the flexibility to travel to the Cape Town office as required.

Key Responsibilities
Global Support
  • Operate within a global framework, ensuring adaptability to support teams, meet deadlines and participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones based in Canada, South Africa, U.K. or the U.S., as needed.
  • Collaborate with international stakeholders, adjusting to varying schedules and priorities as needed.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and coordination across global teams to support sales operational efficiency.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive tasks and cross-regional collaboration.
Task & Workflow Management
  • Track and manage recurring CAAS tasks, ensuring timely completion and follow-up.
  • Monitor group email inboxes and elevate items requiring Manager attention.
  • Maintain client folders, prepare access guides, and update the portal to ensure accuracy of client details.
  • Coordinate fixed fee renewal process, providing reports and reminders to Managers.
  • Track month-end close status across clients and flag delays or bottlenecks.
Reporting & Documentation
  • Compile and deliver timesheet reports, budget vs. actual comparisons, and respond to billing inquiries.
  • Review FloQast documentation and flag potential errors for Managers.
  • Set up and update FloQast client tasks and due dates as needed.
  • Maintain 1099 status tracker and support year end reporting requirements.
  • Provide regular updates to CAAS Managers to support decision making.
Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with internal accounting and administrative teams as needed to support the CAAS team.
  • Support client onboarding with access documents and call summaries.
  • Attend and document internal CAAS meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to CAAS leadership as needed.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 2+ years in a CAAS coordination or accounting role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or a related field, or in lieu of degree 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working with Office 365, QBO, Bill, Ramp, FloQast.
  • Prior experience coordinating with accounting teams is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills using AI tools like FireFlies for meeting minutes.
  • Analytical mindset to track and interpret accounting data.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Work Environment

Work can take place either in an open office setting or remote setting with the expectation to travel onsite based on business and management needs. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work a flexible and regular full-time schedule. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer.
