A qualified Red Seal Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles. The role requires in-depth knowledge of automotive systems and the ability to work with the latest diagnostic tools and technologies to ensure that vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet all regulatory requirements. The technician must deliver high-quality service to meet customer satisfaction.

Remuneration

R 204 500 P.A – negotiable based on experience, performance-based Incentive – Benefits including Provident Fund, Medical Aid.

Duties include

1. Complete repair orders promptly and within the designated time frame.
2. Meet workshop labour goals by working efficiently and upselling when opportunities arise.
3. Diagnose customer issues, provide effective solutions, and communicate them clearly.
4. Ensure timely ordering of parts and accurate booking to Job Cards for efficient repair completion.
5. Stay updated on technological advancements through training, reading bulletins, and gaining the knowledge necessary to meet customer needs.
6. Assist the Service Manager and Foreman with tasks that contribute to the company's success.
7. Ensure compliance with dealership processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Maintain clean, organized workstations, tools, equipment, and vehicles, treating all with care.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with VW, Toyota, Honda, Suzuki brands.
• Motor Mechanic Trade Test Certificate – Red Seal with a minimum of 2 years working experience within a dealership – after qualifying.
• Fully Bilingual (English, Afrikaans).
• Driven to achieve results (Productivity & Efficiency).
• PC Literate.
• Valid Driver's License and Clear Criminal record.
• Stable work track record.
• Ability to work well under pressure and be target-driven.
