We're looking for a Red Hat Linux Administrator who doesn't just maintain systems — you own them. From optimizing RHEL environments to automating complex workflows, your work will power mission-critical enterprise operations.
What You'll Do:
- Take charge of RHEL 7/8/9 systems: install, configure, tune, and secure.
- Own the patching lifecycle, kernel upgrades, and system updates.
- Troubleshoot logs, alerts, and performance issues effectively.
- Drive high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
- Automate tasks using shell scripting and configuration tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
- Implement robust security measures with firewalls, SELinux, and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (applications, DBAs, network) for seamless infrastructure delivery.
- Proactively monitor and optimize for peak performance and scalability.
- Minimum of 35 years' experience working on Linux systems with solid hands-on Red Hat Linux administration.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Certifications: RHCSA / RHCE (preferred and admired).
- Desirable exposure to:
- ZVM Systems
- Red Hat Satellite
- VMware
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Chef or similar automation/configuration tools
Strong troubleshooting skills and deep understanding of Linux internals.Bash scripting expertise (Python is a plus).Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, and networking fundamentals.Working towards or holding RHCSA and/or RHCE certification.Why This Role Rocks:
