Office Beacon, a global leader in remote outsourcing, is seeking an experienced Recruiting Manager to lead talent acquisition in South Africa. This is a critical role in establishing our local footprint while aligning with our global recruitment standards. You will report to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition and collaborate closely with recruitment leads in India, the Philippines, and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive Office Beacon’s recruitment strategy across South Africa, in alignment with global hiring plans.
  2. Lead and mentor a team of local recruiters.
  3. Collaborate with global HR and department heads to forecast and fulfill hiring needs.
  4. Develop partnerships with South African universities, professional organizations, and talent networks.
  5. Represent Office Beacon in the South African job market and drive localized employer branding initiatives.

Recruitment Operations

  1. Manage full-cycle recruitment for roles across multiple departments and levels.
  2. Build strong talent pipelines and succession plans, with a focus on local South African professionals.
  3. Maintain hiring compliance with South African labour laws and employment equity guidelines.
  4. Leverage global ATS systems and recruitment tools to drive hiring efficiency.
  5. Track recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, offer acceptance rate, and sourcing effectiveness.
  6. Design and implement onboarding initiatives tailored for South African hires.
  7. Plan and execute local recruitment events, job fairs, and internship drives.

Reporting & KPIs

  1. Directly report to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition.
  2. Submit monthly hiring dashboards, SLA compliance reports, and workforce planning updates.
  3. Accountable for maintaining:
  4. • Time-to-fill under 5-10 days for standard roles.
  5. • >80% offer acceptance rate.
  6. • 90-day retention rate of >95%.
  7. • Quarterly recruitment pipeline readiness.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of end-to-end recruitment experience in the South African market.
  3. 3+ years of experience in a people management or leadership role.
  4. Strong working knowledge of South African labour laws and equity compliance.
  5. Fluency in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  1. SABPP (South African Board for People Practices) certification.
  2. Experience in BPO, shared services, or high-volume staffing environments.
  3. Familiarity with international recruitment and remote hiring practices.
  4. Working knowledge of multiple South African languages.
  5. Proficiency in global ATS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Greenhouse, Lever, etc.).
  6. Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
  7. Deep understanding of South African business and employment culture.
  8. Strong cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement.
  9. Data-driven recruitment decision-making and reporting.
  10. Ability to manage recruitment budgets and vendor partnerships.
