Job Title: Recruitment Consultant (Bookings)

Location: Foreshore, Cape Town (Office-Based)

Salary: R18,500 - R20,000 per month

Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM UK time

Employment Type: Full-Time

A well-established healthcare recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join its Cape Town-based team. Specializing in connecting healthcare professionals with both temporary and permanent placements across the UK medical sector, the company is known for delivering reliable, efficient, and tailored recruitment solutions that uphold the highest standards of service.

Role Summary

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will play a key role in sourcing and placing healthcare professionals in a variety of roles across England (North and South). The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The focus will be on candidate sourcing and shift bookings, particularly through NHS platforms such as NHSP and Health Roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, attract, and engage healthcare professionals using referrals, word of mouth, and the internal database
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate suitability and availability
  • Match candidates to vacancies based on qualifications, experience, and client requirements
  • Ensure all candidate documentation and compliance requirements are met prior to shift bookings
  • Manage shift bookings via NHS platforms, including NHSP and Health Roster
  • Maintain accurate records using the company's CRM system
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience in recruitment, bookings, and resourcing within the UK healthcare sector (temp staffing)
  • Demonstrated success in shift bookings via NHS platforms such as NHSP and Health Roster
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding placement and performance targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficient in using recruitment software and CRM systems
  • Solid understanding of UK healthcare recruitment procedures and compliance standards
