Job description

Rutherford is a UK-based executive recruitment firm with offices in London and Durban. We specialise in identifying top lawyers for leading international law firms and high-end financial services industries like hedge funds, private equity and fintech.

We are looking for an Associate Consultant to join our dedicated and friendly team in our Durban office. We are building our high performance South African team and looking for bright, hard-working and passionate individuals to join us and support us in delivering for our high-profile clients in London and New York.

You will be a key part of our strategic plan to invest in developing our South African platform, you will receive market-leading training, career development, opportunities for commission, potential relocation opportunities with our London office (we have a UK Home Office sponsorship license) and be eligible for incentive trips like skiing in Europe!

Talent Acquisition

  • Use the training you will receive to Identify, craft appropriate engagement messaging and approach/attract key legal talent by phone and online.
  • Refer quality candidates to the London team for qualification and briefing.
  • Candidate management/Interview process management.
  • Assist with online application processes.
  • Research and record key data for our Relationship Management software.
  • Research, collect and distribute information about key changes in the industry to the team.
  • Provider support to the team leaders.
  • Run projects using various systems to target key candidate pools.
  • Co-ordination and interview scheduling with clients.

Requirements & Skills

  • At least one year of previous work experience.
  • Hard working self-starter - passionate about your work.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Educated to University Level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience of agency recruitment, an advantage but not essential.
