Intercare Waterstone Medical and Dental Centre, situated in Somerset West, seeks to recruit a Receptionist. The focus of this position is to provide professional customer service by facilitating the patient administration process.

As a receptionist, you will provide quality customer service aligned with the overall business strategy and fulfill administrative and payment functions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Provide efficient, friendly, and professional telephone services in patient care.
  2. Assist patients in accurately completing appropriate forms, and document all information in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  3. Responsible for all processes related to the reception-patient journey, e.g., booking, arrival, and payment of patients on the relevant system.
  4. Direct all customers to the appropriate location, services, and professionals.
  5. Ensure patient confidentiality at all times according to POPIA.
  6. Ensure that the reception area is always neat and tidy.
  7. Refer all emergency cases to the nurse’s station according to protocol.
  8. Assist patients with basic account queries and escalate as necessary.
  9. Collect all co-payments and account balances according to Intercare policies and procedures.
  10. Execute and adhere to daily cash-up and banking processes.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Minimum qualification: Grade 12.
  2. Previous experience in a customer-focused service environment, e.g., reception, will be advantageous.
  3. Computer proficient.
  4. GoodX system experience will be advantageous.
