Primary School Receptionist / PA to the Principal

Location: Lonehill International Academy / Dainfern Fourways

Start Date: 1 August 2025, following the completion of one month’s training prior to commencement.

We are seeking a professional, friendly, and highly organised Receptionist / PA to the Principal with at least 7 years’ experience in a primary school environment to join our vibrant team.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception Duties

  • Welcoming and assisting parents, students, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries with accuracy and care
  • Managing the front desk and reception area to ensure it remains tidy, organised, and child-friendly

Administrative Support

  • Supporting the Principal with diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, and confidential administrative tasks
  • Preparing and distributing notices, circulars, and internal communication
  • Maintaining accurate student records and filing systems

Liaison with Students and Parents

  • Dealing with day-to-day student queries and assisting in emergencies
  • Managing parent enquiries with diplomacy, empathy, and confidentiality
  • Supporting the smooth running of school events, open days, and parent-teacher meetings

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ reception/administrative experience in a primary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with children and adults
  • Proven experience in managing confidential information and multitasking in a busy school environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general school administration systems
  • A positive, adaptable attitude with excellent organisational skills and a genuine passion for working in education
