A financial services firm in Gauteng is seeking a Receptionist / Reception Manager to contribute to the company's professional image. Introduction

The key purpose of this role is to contribute towards the image of the NEF by welcoming clients and stakeholders visiting the NEF Office in a professional manner, directing and helping them, as well as ensuring the hosts are timeously informed about their visitors.

Additionally, the role involves answering the switchboard promptly and directing calls efficiently, offering clerical support such as distribution of documents/parcels, and maintaining records pertaining to the reception area.

Responsibilities
  1. Attending to visitors: greet all visitors and clients positively and friendly, meet client expectations, handle conflicts calmly, and inform staff when their clients arrive.
  2. Answering and screening calls: answer calls professionally, transfer or direct calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
  3. Booking of meeting rooms: manage bookings via digital diary, ensure rooms are organized and cleaned, and coordinate refreshments.
  4. Administration and coordination: update telephone lists, handle couriers and deliveries, maintain a tidy reception area, and ensure it is stocked and clean.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Secretarial Certificate / Diploma
  • Business Administration or relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
Experience / Skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a receptionist in financial services or similar industry
  • At least 2 years' experience as a switchboard operator
  • Confidentiality, professionalism, customer service skills, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
