Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role at the Netcare Pretoria East Hospital, Emergency Department for a Reception Administrator for Prime Medical Casualty Group. The Reception Administrator is the first point of contact for patients and plays a pivotal role in efficient and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally welcoming patients
  • Capturing their information accurately and comprehensively
  • Collecting any required documentation from the patients
  • Ensuring that patients are triaged and seen by the clinical staff timeously
  • Collecting Medical Aid details and/or payments from patients
  • Responsible for general administration tasks
  • Handling telephone inquiries
  • Managing office equipment.
  • Overall, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment with team members across other functions of the hospital

Qualifications

  • Administration Diploma or equivalent Qualification from reputable education institution in Administration

Experience

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous
  • Previous experience in Billing & Invoicing is advantageous
  • Proficient in GoodX System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Good Computer Skills
  • Great Interpersonal Skills and Telephone Manner
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
