MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving Control
  1. Ensure all deliveries are received, checked, and confirmed correctly and promptly.
  2. Receive all stock delivered from suppliers or returned by customers.
  3. Verify that stock received via containers meets company quality standards.
  4. Ensure stock colors match company standards.
  5. Monitor, count, and inspect the unloading of goods on delivery day.
  6. Report damaged stock or incomplete transfers immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  7. Ensure only good stock is received; report deviations.
  8. Organize stock neatly, binned, and properly displayed.
  9. Bin stock promptly and adhere to stacking and storage requirements.
  10. Maintain tidy bins with labels and bin numbers.
  11. Check, record, and process credits accurately and promptly.
Administration
  1. Maintain effective receiving administration.
  2. Complete all receiving paperwork accurately.
  3. Keep data systems updated and accurate.
  4. Manage temporary labor requirements according to receiving needs.
  5. Communicate labor needs to the Line Manager in advance.
  6. Conduct weekly induction training for temporary laborers.
  7. Ensure temporary workers wear appropriate PPE.
  8. Manage forklift operations, ensuring only licensed employees operate forklifts.
  9. Conduct forklift inspections and ensure maintenance is up to date.
Warehouse Assistance
  1. Assist in other operational areas as needed.
  2. Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy warehouse environment, including sweeping, dusting, and debris removal.
SHEQ Integrated Management System Control
  1. Adhere to the OHS Act and safety regulations.
  2. Ensure personal and others' health and safety.
  3. Report unsafe conditions and incidents.
  4. Participate in quality checks and ensure packaging standards.
  5. Label boxes correctly and report deviations.
  6. Participate in management system activities and report improvement opportunities.
  7. Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  8. Maintain high customer service standards and hygiene in the receiving area.
Key Job Requirements
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift Driver's License.
Experience
  • At least 1 year in a similar role.
  • At least 3 years in operations or warehousing.
  • Experience in Store Keeping or Procurement roles.
