Placements24 is seeking a skilled Computer Vision Engineer for real-time systems based in Mahikeng, North West. You will design and optimize vision algorithms for embedded and edge devices, focusing on object detection, tracking, and scene understanding.

The role requires 3+ years experience, strong C++ and Python skills, OpenCV expertise, and familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch. You will collaborate with hardware teams and perform rigorous testing on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with computer vision focus.
• 3+ years proven experience in developing and deploying computer vision applications.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Expertise with OpenCV and computer vision libraries.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and CNN architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time processing, embedded systems, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of image processing fundamentals and camera hardware; Git proficiency.
