Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Real Estate Valuer to join our firm in Port Elizabeth/Eastern Cape. You will conduct site inspections, apply valuation methods and produce detailed appraisal reports for sales, financing and legal matters.

The role requires CPV or an equivalent designation and at least four years of valuation experience, with strong knowledge of the Port Elizabeth and Eastern Cape markets. You will work with valuation software and MS Office to deliver defensible valuations.

This position is integral to providing accurate and defensible property valuations for a variety of purposes, including sales, financing, and legal matters. You will conduct thorough site inspections, research market data, and apply valuation methodologies to produce comprehensive appraisal reports. This role requires a strong understanding of property law, market dynamics, and valuation standards, serving clients across the Eastern Cape region and contributing to sound financial decisions based on reliable property assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely valuations of residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
• Conduct detailed site inspections, documenting property features, condition, and comparable sales data.
• Research and analyze market trends, economic factors, and comparable property sales to determine property values.
• Prepare comprehensive and professional valuation reports adhering to industry standards and client requirements.
• Consult with clients to understand their valuation needs and explain the valuation process and findings.

Requirements

• Certified Professional Valuer (CPV) or equivalent professional designation recognized by the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in property valuation and appraisal.
• In-depth knowledge of the Port Elizabeth and Eastern Cape property markets.
• Strong understanding of valuation principles, methodologies, and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant valuation software and MS Office Suite.
