Job Summary : A Training Academy Manager oversees the development and delivery of training programs within an organization or educational institution. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills and contribute to organizational success.

This role involves coordinating with various departments, evaluating training needs, and ensuring the academy's programs are of high quality and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Develop, implement, and manage training programs and curricula that align with organizational goals and needs.
  2. Oversee the creation of training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and multimedia content.
  3. Evaluate and update existing programs to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
  4. Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across different departments.
  5. Collaborate with leadership and department heads to determine training priorities and objectives.
  6. Develop annual training plans and budgets.
  7. Deliver training sessions and workshops, both in-person and online.
  8. Recruit, train, and manage a team of trainers and facilitators.
  9. Ensure training delivery is engaging and effective, utilizing various instructional methods.
  10. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics.
  11. Prepare and present reports on training outcomes, program effectiveness, and return on investment.
  12. Make recommendations for improvements based on evaluation data.
  13. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts and training vendors.
  14. Act as a liaison between the academy and other departments to ensure alignment and support for training initiatives.
  15. Ensure training programs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
  16. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in training and development.
  17. Manage the Training Academy's budget, resources, and scheduling.
  18. Develop strategic initiatives to enhance the academy's role and impact within the organization.
  19. Oversee administrative tasks related to training programs, including record-keeping and reporting.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE :

5+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools. Experience with ICT Specific Accreditation Computer-based Testing (Pearson VUE) and exam processes is an advantage.

SKILLS AND EDUCATION :

Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in training or learning and development is preferred. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in training methodologies and instructional design. Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
