Minimum Requirements

- Dangerous Goods training accreditation
- Valid Reach Truck license and driving experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand and accept this document by signing and dating in the designated area.
- Conduct oneself professionally, projecting a positive image of the company at all times.
- Drive the Reach Truck in accordance with warehouse regulations.
- Follow all Unitrans policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safe working procedures in line with Occupational Health and Safety Act and customer requirements.
- Wear all PPE while on duty.
- Perform duties in compliance with dangerous goods requirements.
- Ensure Reach Truck is in safe working condition and submit to medical examinations as required.
- Undergo body searches upon entry and departure from premises.
- Participate in alcohol testing upon entering company premises.
- Assist with checking of picked products, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Pick correct products from designated locations, following proper procedures.
- Perform manual picking from warehouse racks while operating the Reach Truck, following safety protocols.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage during loading and offloading.
- Load vehicles with picked products as instructed.
- Assist with the inversion of drums and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Participate in multiskilling within the warehouse.
- Follow time and attendance procedures, work overtime when necessary, and rotate shifts as scheduled.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-inspections of the Reach Truck, check battery electrolyte levels, and ensure proper battery rotation and charging.
- Complete the Reach Truck logbook accurately daily.
- Report mechanical defects or damages immediately to the supervisor.
- Participate in disciplinary procedures if required.
- Only authorized personnel may operate MHE; forklifts keys are restricted to supervisors or managers.
- Contribute positively to operational improvements and system changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness, especially at the end of shifts, including storing pallets neatly and assisting with housekeeping.
- Assist with stock takes and repacking damaged stock as instructed.
- Be flexible to cover other warehouse functions when needed.
