The purpose of the Solution Sales Specialist at Rectron is to drive sales of Rectron’s key cloud and software brands. The individual will actively find new resellers and manage sales with existing resellers. This role also handles quotes for the RCT-Cloud team and focuses on managing the recurring and renewals pipeline, especially with the company's emphasis on cloud business. Regular training via available portals is required for success.
Primary Objectives
Targets & Reviews
- Meet set targets across profitability, reseller recruitment, and reach for all product lines.
Sales
- Recruit new resellers for the RCT-Cloud stack.
- Make calls to new and dormant resellers.
- Respond promptly and accurately to quotes.
- Work with existing resellers to identify new opportunities in cloud solutions.
- Close renewal and recurring sales using vendor tools.
- Assist colleagues nationwide with quotes.
- Set clear deadlines with customers for service delivery.
- Sell across the entire RCT-Cloud solution stack.
- Support customers with queries in collaboration with the support team.
- Act as the internal team for business development specialists.
- Proactively quote on renewals and recurring billing, tracked via provided information and tools like Explore.ms.
Administrative & Planning
- Maintain and update CRM systems weekly.
- Submit bi-weekly activity reports detailing deals, wins, and challenges.
- Track contribution towards GP targets and reseller reach.
- Develop account plans with management to grow the business.
Team Accountability
- Assist colleagues proactively.
- Designate a backup during absences.
- Raise and resolve issues collaboratively.
Collaboration with Teams & Events
- Upskill and assist the sales team in cloud/software solutions.
- Engage with broader teams to identify opportunities.
- Support event execution and follow-up on leads.
Training & Development
- Complete vendor portal training regularly.
- Provide quarterly feedback on training.
- Attend training sessions as needed.
- Stay informed on vendor roadmaps via shared or public sources.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge for effective reseller conversations.
- Report issues to management.
- Complete any additional tasks as assigned.
Education & Qualification
- Minimum Matric qualification.
- Technical or business diploma/degree is advantageous.
- Certifications in Microsoft, Bitdefender, or Acronis are beneficial.
Experience & Skills
- At least 3 years in an internal sales environment.
- Experience with cloud/software solutions is a plus.
