Job summary

Energy Vault is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with extensive experience in the Renewable Energy sector. The successful candidate will lead project budgeting, manage team operations, and ensure project profitability, drawing on a strong background in quantity surveying and contract management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years’ industry experience in the Renewable Energy sector.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple projects.
  • Experience managing a multicultural team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager and Operations Director, You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team
  • Performing budget validations and project cost forecasts in granular detail.
  • Ensuring maximum profitability on projects under your control.
  • Prepare cash flows and update as necessary – analyze timing of sales and costs.
  • Compile monthly reports as directed by the Commercial Manager.
  • Carry out monthly measures on site and prepare interim evaluation to include all values relating to labour materials management, plant and equipment and escalation.
  • Monitor progress on site to ensure that where applicable claims for recovery of loss and expense are submitted timeously and agreed with client, liaising with Project Manager, and referring to the appropriate conditions of contract.
  • Monitor, mentor and develop junior employees.
  • Support Project Manager on maintaining project management documentation (Project Management Plan (PMP), Risk Management Plan (RMP), Scope of Works (SOW), WBS Dictionary, Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), etc.).
  • Travel to the various Project sites.
  • Liaise with the Project and Contractor Teams to ensure consistent basis for all project costs/plans.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying.
  • Attained PrQS or MRICS accreditation (Or eligible to attain within 12 months).

Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years’ industry experience – Renewable Energy sector, contractor experience preferential.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing multiple projects.
  • Must have extensive Civil, Mechanical, Structural Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation experience.
  • Experienced in managing and leading a multicultural group/team.
  • Proven experience in conflict avoidance, entitlement appraisal and dispute resolution.
  • Knowledge & understanding of contract law and commercial/contracts management.
