Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure safety regulations are adhered to at all times regarding Dangerous Goods.
  2. Maintain general safety and security around the aircraft.
  3. Liaise between crew and ground handler to obtain boarding clearance for passengers.
  4. Monitor the loading and offloading of baggage and cargo.
  5. Advise ground handling partners of any load changes.
  6. Ensure effective turnarounds and reduce delays by ensuring all handling agents and service providers are in place for arrivals.
  7. Conduct ramp safety audits when required.
  8. Ensure ramp vehicles are clean and fueled.
  9. Pick up and drop off crew as needed.
  10. Monitor flight operations to ensure on-time performance.
  11. Allocate delays as necessary.
  12. Assist with crew requests, such as coordinating clean-up services, providing water, and managing restroom facilities.
  13. Ensure all service providers are present as required per flight (e.g., ACSA, fuel handler).
  14. Conduct ad hoc inspections in the baggage department.
  15. Perform any duties allocated or delegated by the senior on duty.
  16. Arrange support for heavy or oversized equipment or cargo, such as motorized wheelchairs.
  17. Ensure sufficient staff as per SLA.
  18. Conduct FOD (Foreign Object Debris) checks and report any irregular activities related to flight operations.
  19. Coordinate any disruptive operations.
  20. Monitor ramp and passenger service KPIs (boarding gate closure time, equipment positioning, etc.).
  21. Complete ramp agent forms for each flight.
  22. Compile reports for irregularities or incidents if required.
  23. Liaise across different departments and stations to coordinate with relevant stakeholders for on-time departure.
