Qualifications

• 3 years underground experience as Raisebore Operator.
• 3 years as Raisebore Foreman preferred.
• Competencies in operations and maintenance of Raisebore machines.

Job description

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Certificate of Competency as a Raisebore Operator
• Competency A will be an advantage
• A valid Trade Test Certificate will be an advantage
• Valid Driver’s license & own reliable transport
• Must have no criminal record
• Must be able to successfully pass all SAPS and Client screening processes
• Must be medically fit to work underground

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 3 years underground experience as Raisebore Operator and 3 years as a Raisebore Foreman
• Operation, establishment, de-establishment, and maintenance of Raisebore machines and equipment
• Operation and management of Robotic Shaft Liner (advantage)
• Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to relocate
• Willing to relocate temporarily to other African countries
• Ability to work at heights
• Good administration skills and computer literacy

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• Meet production targets
• Plan stock, material, and equipment availability
• Maintain machines and equipment in good operational condition
• Prevent unplanned breakdowns and ensure regular maintenance
• Control tools and equipment
• Manage personnel and working hours
• Promote good client relationships
• Identify and eliminate health and safety issues
• Assemble machine according to procedures, Code of Practices, and manufacturer’s specifications
• Inspect underground work area for safety
• Check if eyebolts are secured
• Clean footwall as per procedures and specifications
