TB HIV Care seeks a radiographer for their PWUD programme, focusing on high-quality chest x-ray imaging and patient care. The role requires effective communication within the healthcare team to ensure service delivery and linkage to additional health services.
TB HIV Care (THC), in existence since 1929, is an internationally recognised non-profit organisation. TB HIV Care provides health care services throughout South Africa to both the general population and communities at increased risk for HIV and TB, including adolescent girls and young women, sex workers and people who use drugs. TB HIV Care provides a stimulating work environment and the opportunity to work with leaders in the field of HIV and TB prevention and care. Our work culture is adapted to the constantly evolving South African health care environment and will suit solution-driven team players interested in opportunities for career development while working to connect people with care.
The radiographer in the PWUD programme will provide a high standard of radiographic chest x-ray imaging, including the use of Computer Aided Detection (CAD) systems, while ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. The role involves delivering a high standard of service to relevant stakeholders and to a diversity of patient presentations. Effective communication with community and facility-based teams is essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and appropriate linkage to other health services.
