Job description

The successful candidate will compile reports, conduct research, design, and develop Antennas, and contribute to the development of tools for obtaining, processing, and simulating results.

Research and Development Antenna and technology research, design & development Keeping abreast of antenna (and RF) engineering best practices and latest techniques.

Improvement of current tools for the processing simulation and measurement results.

Assisting in the creation of Technical Specification documents by providing measurement results and information about the product as needed.

Comparing the performance of current antenna offerings against competitors and improvements to current antenna offerings.

Product Management Defining the long-term vision and strategy for the company's products and managing the lifecycle of the various products according to best product management principles.

Create and analyse product business cases (financial & strategic).

Research, analysis, and internal guidance of current and emerging technologies that may impact the company's product strategy.

Research competitor products (strengths & weaknesses) and product comparisons (market, technical, and pricing).

Develop internal and external product plans (roadmaps), Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) across regions / territories.

Soft Skills Report Writing.

Communicating between the different disciplines involved in the antenna design process.

Prototype Management Involvement in the management of prototype construction.

Measurement and recording of simulation results.

Processing of measurement and simulation results to allow for more rapid decision-making from management.

Advising on possible changes necessary to improve key performance parameters on an antenna.

Debug issues with prototypes and note the changes which need to be made by production.

Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

Administration and Reporting General correspondence and administration completed accurately and promptly.

Email, inbox, and data are managed in a timely and effective manner.

Professional image maintained in all communication.

All reporting and feedback requirements are met, the reports are completed accurately and promptly, according to company requirements.

Adhere to departmental processes and standard operating procedures Supply statistics and information as requested.

Qualifications & Experience BSc or BEng in Electrical / Electronic Engineering with a strong interest in electromagnetics is required.

A Master's or PhD in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, particularly with a focus on RF, Microwave, Antenna Engineering, or Applied Electromagnetics, will be considered highly advantageous.

0 - 5years of hands-on experience in an RF design environment.

Graduate-level coursework or research in : Electromagnetic theory.

Antenna systems and arrays.

RF / Microwave engineering.

EM simulation in CST Studio Suite.

Numerical computing in Python or MATLAB.

Practical experience with RF measurements (VNAs, anechoic chamber).

Great verbal and writing skills in English.

The candidate must be assertive and self-driven.
