Zusammenfassung

SGS is seeking a Radiation Protection Officer to lead radiological safety for the Natural Resources line, conducting surveys, maintaining dose and health records, and ensuring ALARA practices across sites.

The role requires 5 years in administration and management, NECSA-certified preference, and strong knowledge of NNR regulations; travel between locations is required to sustain the Radiation Protection Programme and provide regular updates to management.

Qualifikationen

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Radiation Protection Officer Certificate preferred (NECSA).
• 5 years administrative experience and 5 years relevant management experience (advantage).
• Strong knowledge of applicable legislations (NNR) and auditing experience.

Aufgaben

• Conduct surveys and hazard assessments of radiation hazards.
• Maintain Radiation Protection Programme and records (dose register, health register, area classification, ALARA).
• Identify, classify and manage radioactive waste; ensure transport in line with IAEA regulations.
• Travel between sites to ensure programme effectiveness and provide updates to management.
