R2R Financial Accountant

Job Description

As part of the Global Finance Organisation, the EMEA Finance Operations function is being established to manage transactional processing services across Asia, Australia, Middle East, and Africa, covering Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R). This full-time role is within the R2R team in the Finance Operations function.

The role will focus on the timely and accurate processing of operational accounting to enable precise period close and reporting.

Participates in the team's continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Johannesburg, the successful candidate will have experience in performing a Record to Report role within Finance Operations. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

1. Post journal entries and close accounting periods.
2. Maintain fixed asset records and handle VAT returns.
3. Reconcile balance sheets and ensure reporting accuracy.
4. Support the statutory audit process.
5. Collaborate with teams to resolve issues and support process improvements.
6. Contribute to process documentation and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
7. Participate in cross-functional projects as needed.

• Confidence in working with compliance and financial reporting processes.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Honours in Accounting.
• Articles completed.
