We are seeking a Quotation and Order Management Specialist to join our Pumps Operation team.

You will be responsible for performing all necessary functions to ensure customer satisfaction. Primary activities include evaluation of customer inquiries and compatibility with Metso parts and services, coordination of an appropriate quotation considering price, margin, and delivery, proposal follow-up, support of outside sales efforts, sales order entry, order coordination, and order backlog management until completion. This position is mainly located in Alrode, Gauteng. In this role, you will report to the Head of Quote and Order Management, Pumps Division.

You will join a team that strives to effectively deliver a seamless experience, providing solutions that meet the customer's needs. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as management, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and the supply and sales teams.

What You Will Do

• Provide excellent response to end users and sales managers when taking purchase orders and answering requests for pricing, delivery, product, and technical information.
• Process customer inquiries, proposals, and enter orders accurately and in a timely manner, including preparing quotations and sales order entry.
• Prepare customer quotations based on application, specifications, costs, and pricing guidelines.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and shop cost estimates.
• Establish selling prices of parts based on history, customer evaluation, market conditions, and company objectives.
• Expedite activities on proposals through daily communication.
• Administer order entry of customer purchase orders and provide backup information to involved departments.
• Maintain a good company image by providing exceptional customer service, professional attitude, and up-to-date product knowledge.
• Participate in establishing pricing strategies and customer negotiations.
• Resolve order-related problems and discrepancies working with sales and product support teams.
• Manage order backlog for assigned customers/territories, ensuring timely delivery.
• Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation within the solutions group.

Who You Are

• Matric (Grade 12), SAP Experience, Sales Force Experience.
• 2-5 years experience in customer service or a similar role.
• Strong drive, performance orientation, ability to work in a team, and excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail, sense of urgency, and motivation to meet deadlines.
• Prepared to work flexible hours.
