Placements24 in Queenstown, Eastern Cape is seeking a vibrant Childcare Assistant and Activity Coordinator to support lead educators and foster a safe, engaging environment for children across ages. You will help plan and lead stimulating activities that promote learning and development while maintaining high standards of care.

You will work closely with a dedicated team, demonstrate patience and enthusiasm, and contribute to a nurturing centre that values families, community and holistic child

Qualifications

• Experience in a childcare setting or working with children.
• Passion for child development and creating fun, educational experiences.
• Strong organizational and planning skills for activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Patience, enthusiasm and a responsible attitude.
• First aid certifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in daily classroom activities and supervision of children.
• Plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational and educational activities for children.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safety protocols.
• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children's personal care needs, including feeding and hygiene.
• Communicate positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
