The successful candidate will collaborate with Architecture and Engineering departments, prepare estimates, evaluate designs, and manage cashflow forecasts. Required qualifications include a BTech or BSc in Quantity Surveying, professional registration, and 6 to 10 years of experience. Proficiency in WINQS and DIMX is beneficial. The role demands strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • 6 to 10 years working experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate design documentation.
  • Prepare preliminary & detailed estimates.
  • Formulate bills of quantities & contract documentation.
  • Financial evaluation of tenders.
  • Administer cashflow forecasts and cost reports.
  • Prepare & negotiate final accounts.
  • Attend meetings.
  • Prepare viability studies and damage costings.

Overview / Description

The position is for a Professional Quantity Surveyor at a multi-disciplinary consulting firm. The successful candidate will form part of the Quantity Surveying department and will have regular interaction and collaboration with the Architecture and Engineering departments.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate design documentation
  • Prepare preliminary & detailed estimates
  • Formulate bills of quantities & contract documentation
  • Financial evaluation of tenders
  • Administer cashflow forecasts, cost reports, variation orders, valuations, contractual claims, etc.
  • Prepare & negotiate final accounts
  • Attend meetings
  • Formulate, review and analyse repair estimates
  • Prepare viability studies, damage costings & determine value at risk
  • Liaise and cooperate with multi-disciplinary teams (Project Managers, Architects, Engineers & Quantity Surveyors)
