Job Description:

Calibre Search are looking to speak with Intermediate to qualified level Quantity Surveyors to join a relatively new and ambitious QS team in Manchester City Centre.

You'll be a key hire working alongside their Director of Cost Management and Associate. You'll be part of a growing QS service with an established multi-discipline team aiming for a record-breaking year.

You will be working directly with the new Director and assisting on several upcoming and secured high-profile NHS Trust Healthcare schemes, as well as Residential and Education projects across the North of England.

Having a few years of post-qualification experience within a consultancy environment would be advantageous. Candidates competent in cost reports, cost forecasts, and employer's agent work are exactly what they're looking for.

This role offers full support with the APC and the opportunity to work closely with three experienced QS professionals, which will enhance your knowledge and career prospects within the industry.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and an interpersonal style suitable for a client-facing role.
  • BSc qualification in Quantity Surveying or a similar degree, with previous experience ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Ability to chair meetings and possess leadership skills to lead project teams, including managing conflicts and resolving complex issues.
  • Exceptional planning and organization skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands.
  • Ability to work independently, make sound judgments and decisions, and take responsibility to complete tasks.
  • Assist in managing the delivery of pre- and post-contract services, including handling cost variances, change control, valuation processes, cost checks, regular reporting, and final account negotiations.
