Job summary

LRHR (Pty) Ltd t/a Lotus HR and Recruitment seeks a mid-level Quantity Surveyor for Cape Town projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in roads, stormwater, culverts and bridges, with CCS Candy proficiency and on-site experience.

You will need strong contract, financial reporting, and SHEQ knowledge, plus IR/leadership skills to deliver quality results under pressure on civil and MEP projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying with 5+ years civil construction experience.
• Experience in road, stormwater, culvert and bridge construction and refurbishments.
• CCS Certification; CCS Candy knowledge and assessment will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract law, insurances, and financial reporting for on-site projects.
• Manage SHEQ compliance and on-site staff including IR where needed.
• Plan, measure outputs, schedule and estimate project activities.

Our client, a national construction company, specialising in large to mega building and civils projects, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced mid-level Quantity Surveyor, for their operation in Cape Town. Please note that this client is seeking candidates at a mid-career level and must have experience in Civils and MEP projects, with proficiency in CCS Candy

• You will have completed a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, coupled with 5+ years experience in road, stormwater, culvert and bridge construction and refurbishments.
• Certification in CCS is essential and an assessment will be conducted.
• You will have proven experience in contract law, insurances, financial reporting (per site and project), SHEQ legislation and implementation, site staff management (including IR, if the need arises), as well as managing construction methods, measuring outputs, project programming, estimating and scheduling.
• You will be prepared to be based on site when required and have exceptional interpersonal skills, effectively communicate at all levels, lead by example and deliver results in a high-pressure environment, meeting international standards.
