Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the mining industry in Kriel Mpumalanga. The successful candidate must have expertise in Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) projects within the mining sector.

Responsibilities :

Prepare cost estimates bills of quantities and tender documents for EC&I projects in the mining industry.

Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure costeffective solutions.

Monitor project costs and budget throughout the project lifecycle.

Liaise with contractors subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts.

Review and approve invoices and payment applications.

Provide advice on costsaving measures and value engineering opportunities.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure project budgets are maintained.

Requirements :

Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the mining industry.

Strong understanding of EC&I systems and projects.

Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
