We are looking for an experienced Quantitative Analyst for a client in the Financial Services space based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities :

  • Build and present reports based on business performance within the risk appetite through analysis.
  • Report to monitor and advise on trends through analysis
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through model build process and the systems and strategy development process
  • Increase efficiency of the business through automating processes
  • Challenge model builds and ensure best practice
  • Seek opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems
  • Ensure data accuracy through data analysis and testing of strategy changes
  • Take corrective action where risk is identified in processes, models or reporting through analysis.
  • Support the achievement of business strategy

Requirements :

  • BSc in Actuarial Science, Statistics or Mathematics
  • 3+ years experience in a similar environment
  • Strong Analytical, Modelling and Reporting ability
  • Experience in systems like R, SAS, Python and VBA
