Quality Systems Officer

Granor Passi (Pty) Ltd, a leading fruit processor in South Africa, with its Head Office situated in Polokwane (Limpopo), seeks to employ a Quality Systems Officer in Polokwane.

Purpose:

To efficiently administer and coordinate Quality and Food Safety Management System and certifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Proper planning, overseeing, and controlling of activities related to the position of Systems Officer for Polokwane.
2. Interpret and analyse assessment findings and investigations to determine interventions to improve the quality and food safety management systems.
3. Support and effectively communicate with employees, customers, and all stakeholders.
4. Execute all functions of Management Representative as stipulated in the ISO and FSSC standards.
5. Report on the performance of the quality and food safety management systems and needs for improvement.
6. Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
7. Liaise with external parties on matters relating to the quality and food safety management systems.
8. Administer the ISO, FSSC, SGF, Kosher, Halaal, Fair Trade, FDA, and Consumer Council certifications for Polokwane.
9. Maintain the Food Safety and Quality management system.
10. Ensure adherence to all requirements as stipulated in the various institutions' standards.
11. Follow up and close out audit findings and liaise with certification bodies.
12. Ensure that certifications are valid, and all new requirements are implemented and adhered to.

Requirements:

1. National Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent qualification.
2. 3 years' experience in maintaining a Food Safety and Quality management system in a food factory and 1 year in the quality control section.
3. Knowledge of the ISO and FSSC certification systems is required.
4. No criminal record.
5. Computer literate.
6. Good communication, bilingual, and influencing skills.
7. Able to work under pressure.
