Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative. About the YES Initiative The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.
Duties
Perform functional tasks
Certification of compounds (Non-Productive and Productive)
Assist with the management of the rebate sale
Certification of pigment makeup
Facilitate the disposition of off-spec material
Assist with the management of Waste and Slow moving in mixing
Lab studies e.g., Gage R&R and Capability studies
Assist with work instructions, Job Element trees and specifications
Assist with the management of Red Tags
Daily review mixing schedule to optimize workaway opportunities
Manage self to improve personal effectiveness
Exhibit a professional manner and appearance
Ensure behavior which leads to effective performance is identified and developed
Develop understanding of own contribution to business efficiency
Clarify own job requirements and performance standards with Business Manager
Identify and communicate training and development needs
Identify additional responsibilities which could be undertaken as a result of new knowledge and skills after training and development courses
Exhibit the ability to operate well under pressure and with minimal supervision
Requirements:
Grade 12
Diploma in Quality Management/ Packaging Technology
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.)
Excellent time management
Good administrative skills with special attention to detail
Aged between 18 and 34
Must be medically fit
Must not have taken part in the YES Programme before
Applicants must reside in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp and surrounding areas
