Job summary

PKF in South Africa is seeking a Quality and Risk Manager to enhance quality across the network. You will guide monitoring reviews under the supervision of the PKF SA Monitoring Review Lead and work with the Head of Quality and Risk and Risk & Compliance Committee.

The role requires a CA (SA) with public practice training, 5+ years post-qualification experience, and proven leadership in external audits with emphasis on compliance and quality management.

Qualifications

• CA (SA) qualified with public practice training.
• Minimum five years post-qualification experience.
• Experience as Manager/Senior Manager in an external audit firm.
• Strong knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and scope risk-based inspections (monitoring reviews).
• Apply monitoring methodology to determine inspection scope and timing.
• Evaluate deficiencies and determine severity and pervasiveness.
• Assist engagement teams in root-cause analysis and remediation planning.
• Perform inspections of completed engagements (monitoring reviews).
• Interact with member firms and engagement partners on findings.
• Maintain independence and professional judgment to drive matters to conclusion.
• Research and consult on technical matters.
• Prepare high-quality reports.
