Quality & Regulatory Assurance Lead: Africa
Role Outline
- Develop, influence, and drive the Quality agenda and strategy for Africa (aligned with the Global & EMEA strategy) to give each cluster and country a leading edge in retaining and engaging clients by ensuring customer expectations and standards are met.
Manage the delivery of Africa QRA responsibilities across clusters, countries, sectors, or sites, supporting the business in LSHC operations and other sectors in Africa.
- Drive the Quality teams across Africa to develop and deliver the Quality roadmap, including change management.
- Ensure governance, develop relationships with internal peers, clients, and regulators.
- Implement and improve QRA initiatives in alignment with global and regional strategies.
- Develop and drive the Customs agenda for Africa.
- Act as a Business Partner within OE teams to ensure site-managed QRA is effectively executed, delivering standards like DHL QMS, ISO, GxP, and regulatory requirements.
Key areas of responsibility include :
- Driving QRA processes aligned with business strategy.
- Monitoring Service Quality KPIs, investigations, and corrective actions.
- Supporting OMS FC Implementation through training and coaching.
- Supporting startup projects to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conducting site audits using QPA/Gemba techniques.
- Delivering site training on QRA skills and requirements.
- Reviewing Self-Assessment & CAPA Management, providing feedback.
- Supporting external and customer audits.
- Monitoring service quality metrics and conducting investigations.
- Guiding regulatory and licensing activities, ensuring compliance.
- Maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Supporting EMEA leadership in QRA.
- Ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO, and local regulations.
- Guiding operational and non-operational departments on quality standards.
LSHC
- Solution and budget responsibility.
- Supporting new and existing system solutions linked to QRA.
- Leading and developing the team, coaching Quality Champions and management.
- Providing training and addressing skill gaps.
- Communicating effectively across the business.
- Driving change management and influencing targets.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric and recognized science degree (e.g., Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biology).
- RP or QP certification, Certified Quality Auditor.
- Project/program management certification or experience.
- Operational experience in supply chain, LSHC, pharmacy, or similar industries.
- Extensive knowledge of LSHC, GxP, and regulatory requirements.
- 7-10 years of management/supervisory experience in logistics.
- Proven ability to lead in complex, large organizations and manage certifications.
